Starting off in the Japanese Akitainu breed can be a daunting experience. There is so much misinformation that can be found online concerning the breed, even from sources you would consider trustworthy, such as breed clubs or social media groups. Although breeders may look the part online, it does not mean they have the breeder experience or knowledge to back it up. Ask lots of questions, engage, and maintain your standards. It is simply not ok for breeders to have poor temperaments & breed non health tested dogs.
